Racecourse Facilities

The Queen's Stand

The Queen's Stand is the most exclusive area at Epsom Downs Racecourse. Situated opposite the winning post, it has the best views and facilities on the course. It has bars, cold snacks, a champagne and seafood bar, private entertaining suites and full TOTE betting facilities. Queen's Stand racegoers have access to the Paddock and Winner's Circle.

The Duchess's Stand

Epsom's new Duchess's Stand is now open! The fantastic new facility is a very comfortable and modern building. The large ground floor Oaks Hall is the main facility for racegoers, with Tote units and a variety of catering outlets.

The Duchess's Stand offers a relaxed atmosphere for racegoers who can also enjoy the bars, stands, music and entertainment in the Derby Village on both days of The Derby Festival.

As access to the Parade Ring and the Rails Bookmakers are close to hand, it is a particularly good area for groups.

The Hill

The Hill is at the heart of the Derby party as many people flock to experience the market and funfair. Although buses and coaches are not parked next to the rails, they still experience the fun of The Hill at an affordable price. It features all the facilities you need to really make the day fly by, including;
  • Betting facilities
  • Food and bar facilities
  • Toilets

  • It's free for pedestrians to walk onto The Hill.
Epsom Races, last furlong Lonsdale Enclosure

Facilities in the Lonsdale include;
  • Betting facilities
  • Food and bar facilities
  • Toilets
Please note that these facilities may change on different race days.
BBQs are strictly forbidden in this area, due to the enclosure's proximity to the track.

Walton

Situated next to the Lonsdale Enclosure, the Walton is open to both cars and coaches outside of the Derby Festival. There are no additional charges to park in the Walton, apart from the cost of driving onto The Hill.

The Hill vehicle charges are below, which also include parking in the Walton. The parking fees can be paid on the day. BBQs are strictly forbidden in this area, due to the enclosure's proximity to the track.

Upper Tattenham

The Upper Tattenham stretches from the Duchess's Stand down to the famous Tattenham Corner. It is open to all vehicles and isn't necessary to book in advance outside of the Derby Festival. BBQs are strictly forbidden in this area, due to the enclosure's proximity to the track.

Tattenham Straight

The Tattenham Straight is only open at the Derby Festival. At the Derby Festival it's a fantastic pedestrian area, with live music and a variety of food and drinks units. With access to the rails and bookmakers, it also has sight of a big screen. The Tattenham Straight is great value for money and is the area to be in if you want to have lots of space to spread out in.

Tattenham Picnic Area

The Tattenham Picnic Area is only open at the Derby Festival. The Tattenham Picnic Area offers racegoers at the Derby Festival a delicious picnic in a premium area next to the Grandstand Enclosure. With picnic tables on a spacious lawn and access to bars and bookmakers in the Tattenham Straight, it's a great place to spend the afternoon.
